<h1 style="text-align: justify;">The D-28L (2025) is the left-handed dreadnought acoustic guitar from Martin & Co.'s "Standard" series, crafted with a Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, a select Hardwood neck, and an Ebony fingerboard. It features GE-Scalloped bracing for greater brilliance and sound projection, a further lowered GE Modified Low Oval neck profile, and a more chamfered heel, neck, and bridge for enhanced comfort, along with bone bridge pins. It has a 44.45 mm nut width, a 645 mm scale length, and a gloss finish on the top, back, and sides.</h1><h2>Overview of the Martin & Co. D-28L (2025).</h2><p style="text-align: justify;">The Martin D-28 has been the quintessential guitar for music legends like Hank Williams, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and many others. This is no surprise, as the D-28 is made with East Indian Rosewood, a highly resonant wood that offers deep lows and rich harmonics. It is a well-balanced guitar suitable for all playing styles. It also combines vintage details such as open-gear tuners, an aged toner top, antique white binding, and a faux tortoiseshell pickguard.<br>One of the main new features of the 2025 Standard series is the use of Golden Era (GE) Sitka spruce bracing for the top, a detail also present in the Modern Deluxe series, which gives a more vintage and airy tone with enhanced sustain. The modified "Low Oval" GE neck profile maintains the classic shape but has been optimized to offer a vintage appeal. The fingerboard has been thinned and features rounded edges for greater comfort, while the string spacing at the nut has been perfected. The new GE "modern belly" bridge has softer, more comfortable angles. Standard Series guitars are now equipped with bone or ebony bridge pins, depending on the model.
