The D-28 Authentic 1937 VTS Aged is an acoustic dreadnought guitar from Martin & Co.'s "Authentic" series. It features an Adirondack Spruce top with VTS treatment and Vintage Toner coloration, Guatemalan Rosewood back and sides, a Mahogany neck, and a 20-fret Ebony fingerboard. The entire guitar has a Vintage Gloss Aged finish, a 45mm nut, a 645mm scale length, an Ebony bridge with aged ivory pins, a bone saddle, Aged Waverly Nickel Open Back tuners, and comes with a Hardshell case.

In addition, it adds the VINTAGE TONE SYSTEM® (VTS) that ages the wood to replicate the sound of a vintage Martin. Martin craftsmen are able to recreate the pleasing aesthetics of a vintage guitar and reproduce the particular tonal qualities previously reserved for vintage instruments. Now Martin has reintroduced a more accurate body profile, based on the dreadnought shapes from the early Golden Era in Martin's history.
