The CostaLab Booster Plus represents the natural evolution of the well-established and acclaimed CostaLab Booster.

The basic features of the classic Booster have been maintained. In addition, the circuit has been equipped with an always-on Class A buffer, characterized by very high input impedance. This allows to maintain every sonic detail, providing definition and space between notes as well as a rich and elegant tone.

The presence of the buffer easily repels radio interference and improves overall performance in effects chains, even with the boost effect disengaged.

Thus, the characteristics of the CostaLab Buffer and Booster are combined in a single pedal, with the footprint of a single unit.

Used pre-effect, the Booster Plus is able to "push" the device connected downstream. For example, with a tube amplifier, you can go from a crunch sound to a powerful and creamy lead sound, exploiting only the amplifier's dynamics.

Similarly, it can also be used to add more saturation to an overdrive effect. With the boost effect off, the Booster Plus functions as a Buffer, with all the resulting advantages.

Used post-effect, the pedal can be used to raise your volume during a solo, while with the boost effect off, it functions as a line driver.

Being particularly quiet, the pedal can be used at high gain levels without contraindications. The CostaLab Booster Plus is also able to act as an attenuator, as the volume control can be set to zero, while at maximum setting, the pedal is capable of 26 dB of gain.

The CostaLab Booster Plus is equipped with a "Buffered" mechanical switch system with the buffer always active, featuring an anti-pop system.

Power supply is 9 volts DC and connects via the classic 2.1 mm DC connector with center negative. Current draw is less than 20 mA. The unit can also operate with a 9-volt battery. In this case, the circuit is activated by inserting the input jack.

To prolong battery life, it is advisable to remove the input jack from the socket when not in use. However, it is possible to keep the battery inside the pedal even when it is powered via the DC socket, because the external power system is able to automatically exclude it.

The pedal measures 118x60x34mm excluding the knob and jacks.
