The new HT MK III valve amplifiers: inspiration for practice and live performances

The award-winning HT range is one of Blackstar's valve amplifier series. It focuses on providing guitarists with classic valve tones in a compact package, which has become a benchmark in the homes and studios of professional and amateur musicians alike. The Blackstar R&D team has drawn on decades of experience to create the new HT MK III series.

The HT-1R MK III, HT-5R MK III and HT-20R MK III amplifiers retain all the renowned features of the HT MkII series, with the addition of CabRig, the world's most advanced IR-based DSP speaker simulator. CabRig allows guitarists to access hundreds of cabinet and microphone configurations with environment settings. These settings can be saved and stored in 3 presets that can be recalled directly from the amplifier for an incredible selection of tonal options when playing live or recording.

In addition to these new cutting-edge features, the new HT MK III series comes with a striking new look, with a quality boutique amplifier style. The new panel has a clean, crisp, edgeless appearance, combined with classic 'chicken head' knobs. High-quality switches have been introduced, LED colours have been updated and a metal logo has been added. Undoubtedly, the HT MK
IIIs look as good as they sound.

Here's what you can expect from the new HT MK III:

- Blackstar's patented ISF (Infinite Shape) system. Unique to Blackstar products, this control allows you to go from an 'American' sounding amplifier to a classic 'British' sounding amplifier.
- Power reduction: the HT-5R includes a switchable circuit in the HT-5R MK III and HT-20R MK III models that provides transparent and reliable attenuation, down to 10% of the amplifier's rated power.
- CabRig: our IR-based simulation DSP software. Choose from hundreds of microphone and screen combinations thanks to the free software and store up to 3 CabRig presets directly on the amplifier.
- Professional USB recording output: now USB-C, it's the easiest way to get a valve tone into your recordings.
- The innovative Clean Channel offers maximum quality and flexibility of clean tones. The Clean channel features a voice selector: American Clean, British Clean.
- The rich and responsive Overdrive channel features a voice selector: Classic Overdrive, Modern Overdrive, with high-gain voices.
- All models feature four footswitchable voices with the optional FS-22 and FS-16 two-way footswitches. The result is a wide selection of accessible valve tones.
- Line input for jamming or listening to music.
- Line out for silent practice or recording.
- HT' stands for High Tension, the internal high-voltage circuit required to drive the valves to their full performance.
