The AX3 Axis model in White features a Basswood body, Canadian Maple neck, and Jatoba fretboard, Diecast tuners, and a Fulcrum Tremolo bridge. It is equipped with HH configured pickups with Volume and Tone controls plus a 5-position pickup selector that allows the two humbuckers to also be used as single-coil pickups, offering the guitarist a variety of tonal possibilities, with nuances typical of both Humbuckers and Single Coils. It has a nut width of 42 mm, a 12" radius, and a scale length of 648 mm with a 22-fret narrow fingerboard. A special feature of this model is the asymmetry of the neck, which provides greater comfort for the left hand. A classic and original design, familiar to all fans of great guitars, the AX3FM has its roots in the Music Man Axis, the venerable cutaway guitar that entered the scene in the early 90s.
