Traditional set in two tension grades (Normal and Superior) characterized by high overall performance in the range of mellow and warm sound: the first three strings are made from a revolutionary polyamide monofilament, the result of Aquila's research, named Bionylon®. As the name suggests, this type of material consists of 63% non-petrochemical but plant-based product (castor oil). This means a reduction of more than 30% in carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere during the plastic material synthesis operation. Bionylon® is therefore the first eco-friendly synthetic string ever created. This is Aquila Corde's small but important contribution to the environmental issue. Bionylon is perfectly smooth and round; its color resembles that of natural pearl. It exhibits excellent acoustic and mechanical properties, superior to those of other nylons used for musical purposes.
