Until now, reaching lower frequencies required increasing the string's diameter. However, doing so proportionally degrades sound quality due to internal acoustic damping within the string. This results in a duller, darker, and less responsive sound: the thicker the string, the more muffled the sound. Aquila Corde's revolutionary approach (never introduced before) consists of increasing the density of each individual string while keeping the diameters as unchanged as possible. The result is incredible. The instrument sounds more responsive, clear, powerful, and extraordinarily homogeneous across all strings and in all positions on the fretboard, even beyond the 12th fret. The intonation of the fretted string is better due to less variation between diameters.
