Zoom F4 is equipped with high-quality preamplifiers. Like the F8, the F4's preamplifiers capture sound with excellent fidelity and reproduce it using a resolution of up to 24-bit/192kHz. Impressive audio features include extremely low background noise (-127dBu EIN) and high gain (up to 75dB), with +4dB line inputs. For precise audio/video sync, the Zoom F4 uses a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) that generates time code with 0.2ppm accuracy – an unprecedented feature in this price range. The F4 supports all drop and non-drop formats and can also be synced with external time code. Standard BNC connectors enable integration into any system. Intelligent limiters prevent unwanted signal overloads, allowing you to capture audio in a wide range of sound environments. The limiter can be applied to all 4 channels simultaneously at high resolution, with 10dB of dynamic range and controls to select threshold, attack, and release. A metal chassis makes the F4 solid, durable, and lightweight.
