The Yamaha Pacifica 112VMx features an Alder body that, combined with the powerful bridge humbucker pickup and two single-coil pickups, produces an impressive variety of vintage and rock sounds, which can be complemented by the smoothness of a vintage-style vibrato. Alnico V magnets are used for both the single-coil and humbucking pickups, providing a warm and clear tone that won't get lost in the mix.

The bridge pickup is mounted directly to the body. This configuration captures the body's resonance, providing a thicker, fuller sound compared to mounting directly on the pickguard. The vintage tremolo with block saddles offers excellent lever feel and outstanding tuning stability. The robust block saddles deliver a rich, deep sound with great sustain.
