Like all professional mixers in the Yamaha MG series, it boasts unique features specifically designed by the brand, such as D-PRE microphone preamplifiers with an inverted Darlington circuit and 1-knob compressors.

D-PRE preamplifiers are the starting point. MG series mixing consoles feature individual studio-grade Class-A Yamaha D-PRE preamplifiers that use an inverted Darlington circuit comprising two transistors in a cascaded configuration, offering more power with lower impedance.

These preamplifiers produce rich, natural bass and brilliant, smooth highs with very low distortion, and possess an astonishingly wide frequency range that allows them to handle signals from any audio source without over-emphasizing any element of the sound. Having such a sonic platform to work with saves time and effort by eliminating the need for excessive equalization or additional effects processing to fix your mix.
