Going beyond the boundaries of Arranger Workstation sound, the new Genos2 includes the legendary DX7 FM technology, cutting-edge Ambient Drums, and Steinberg's acclaimed REVelation Reverb. With Style Dynamics Control, you can control the energy and dynamics of all 800 preset Styles, giving a completely new musical dimension to Style performance.

Along with the new brighter, anti-glare display and Live Control LEDs, Genos2’s features combine to deliver the richest musical experience.

With over 1900 high-quality Voices and 800 Styles with One Touch Settings covering a wide range of musical genres, you will be instantly inspired to play your favorite songs and even create new musical ideas and compositions. Over 200 styles have new images, while all existing styles have been completely updated to use new voices and effects.

 For the first time in an Arranger Workstation, the energy and dynamics of all Styles, including User Styles, can be adjusted with a simple Live controller. Whether you want your band to play at a soft pianissimo level, a fortissimo level, or somewhere in between, the choice is now yours.

The drums are the backbone of any rhythm section. With the new Ambient Drums and using a single Live controller, you can choose between a direct, dry, and punchy drum sound and a more distant and reflective ambient sound, offering endless possibilities for your style playback.

In Arranger Workstations, reverb is used for voices, styles, MIDI songs, multipads, and MIC input. That's why the introduction of Steinberg's REVelation Reverb has such a significant impact on the sound of Genos2. REVelation is very high-resolution and produces a transparent and natural sound.

Genos2 features a dual-engine tone generator equipped not only with AWM technology, but now also with FM synthesis. FM has a rich and dynamic sound and powered Yamaha's legendary DX7, an instrument that defined the sound of the 80s.
