The Red Label FGX3 features a Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, ebony fretboard, mahogany neck, ebony bridge with Gotoh Open-gear tuners.

For electronics, this model features a Yamaha Atmosfeel pickup and a 3-way undersaddle piezo sensor preamp system.
