The new BB basses are built with a multi-laminated alder/maple/alder body. The hardness of the maple in the center of the instrument's body increases rigidity and accentuates the mid-range to allow for greater projection within a band's sound, and offers more uniform transmission of vibrations between body and maple neck, achieving unparalleled resonance and sustain.

The "miter bolting" joint fastens the neck closer and tighter to the instrument's body, fusing the two separate components into an indivisible unit.

Compared to a conventional "bolt-on" connection, the "miter bolting" joint offers a more efficient transfer of string vibration through the instrument's body, providing improved sustain and astonishing resonance that brings every single note to life.

The new series features a five-piece laminated maple and mahogany neck, with a "bolt-on" structure that offers a prompt attack and fast response. This stable construction technique resists bending and twisting and adds the defined and incisive character of maple, combined with the warmth of mahogany, to the instrument's tone.
