The new BB basses feature a multi-laminate alder/maple/alder body construction. The maple's hardness at the center of the instrument's body increases rigidity and accentuates the mid-range to allow for greater projection within a band's sound, and offers more uniform vibration transmission between the body and maple neck, achieving unparalleled resonance and sustain.

The "miter bolting" joint fastens the neck closer and more tightly to the instrument's body, achieving the fusion of the two separate components into one indivisible unit.

Compared to a conventional "bolt-on" connection, the "miter bolting" joint offers a more efficient transfer of string vibration through the instrument's body, providing improved sustain and astonishing resonance that brings every single note to life.

Alnico magnets produce a full yet incisive sound that integrates well with the particular alder/maple/alder construction of the 700 and Pro series models in establishing an organic and well-defined tone.

The new BB700 series models feature a special active/passive circuit, allowing for refined tonal control and extreme flexibility.

This updated circuit has been refined for the BB series to achieve a brighter tone with improved mid-range frequencies, with a well-balanced output level between active and passive modes and a special tone control that organically alternates treble control and master tone control in passive mode.

High-quality gold-plated electronic parts are used for all critical circuit contacts, ensuring improved conductivity and reliability. An LED, installed on the rear panel, provides immediate indication of low battery status, preventing sudden power drops during performance.

The 700 series models feature active pickups with three-band EQ, a balance control, and an active/passive switch, ensuring versatility and flexibility in sound setup.

"Vintage Plus" bridge with "convertible" bridge and saddles, for precise tonal control

The 700 and Pro models are equipped with the "Vintage Plus" bridge, which incorporates "Diagonal Body Thru Stringing," a technique where strings are mounted at an angle and pass through the body to meet the bridge at a 45º angle, unlike the traditional vertical mounting method, which creates greater stress for the strings.

The "Diagonal Body Thru Stringing" mounting significantly reduces string stress while reliably and efficiently transferring vibration to the body.

Alternatively, the strings can be anchored to the rear section of the bridge, which features "convertible" saddles configurable at two different angles, ensuring precise control of the instrument's sound and feel. The rounder side of the saddle produces a slightly darker tone, while the more angled saddle area highlights a drier response.

The brass saddles of the "Vintage Plus" bridge contribute to a slightly deeper timbre, while the steel bridge base ensures a clear and articulated response. All screws are made of stainless steel to prevent oxidation.

The new series features a five-piece laminated maple and mahogany neck, with a "bolt-on" construction that offers a quick attack and fast response. This stable construction technique resists bending and twisting and adds the defined and incisive character of maple, combined with the warmth of mahogany, to the instrument's tone.
