A compact Stage Custom kit that employs 100% birch shells that have become synonymous with Yamaha drums. A shallow 20"x8" bass drum supports the low-end and keeps the overall setup compact. The floor tom also comes with snares to allow use in various types of music. This kit combines the diameter used to achieve the rich bass sounds of a regular set with a shallow body that enables the drummer to save space. The floor tom is equipped with a 20-strand snare and can be converted to a 13" snare drum in one action. In addition to jazz and pop music, it can also be used for hip-hop, R&B, and numerous other musical genres. Thanks to a thinner bass drum than usual, the Stage Custom Hip is compact enough to be set up even in the smallest venues. The compact size combined with commercially available mesh heads and practice cymbals allows for nearly silent practice. Furthermore, installing an EAD10 or trigger pickups transforms the Stage Custom Hip into a hybrid drum kit that allows for a rich variety of sounds. Lightweight and easy to transport, the HW3 is the perfect hardware set to pair with the Stage Custom Hip. This kit uses 100% birch 6-ply shells that have become synonymous with Yamaha drums.
