WAV4 Electric Upright Bass is the 4-string electric double bass from the WAV series by NS Design, designed to offer bassists entering the world of electric double basses NS design and performance at a competitive price.

OVERVIEW

True to the NS tradition, the WAV4 captures the essence of an acoustic instrument while offering additional sonic possibilities. The electronics are based on the Polar™ Pickup System, which allows you to select either Bow or Pizzicato mode via a switch. The former provides a response typical of an acoustic double bass played with a bow, while the latter provides sustain for pizzicato notes. The passive piezo pickup delivers a natural sound without the need for batteries. The WAV4 shares the elegant body design with other NS double basses.

Construction
The body and neck are made of Maple and, together with the graduated fingerboard, provide a rich, full tone for every note. The asymmetrical fingerboard profile ensures that high notes are bright and low notes are powerful. The adjustable bridge and truss rod can be set for a low and fast action or a high action, closer to the style of acoustic double bass players. Compact and lightweight, the WAV4 is a perfect instrument for the traveling double bassist. A stand and a padded gig bag with dedicated pockets for the bow and other accessories are included.

SupportsIn addition to the included tripod, various optional supports are available, starting from the CR Tripod Stand, the Bass End Pin Stand, up to the Boomerang™ Strap System and Frame Strap System (all optional).
