WAV4 Electric Cello is the 4-string electric cello from the WAV series by NS Design, designed for cellists who want to explore the electric world. This instrument is compact and lightweight, yet offers substantial features and performance. True to the NS Design tradition, the WAV series captures the essence of acoustic instruments while offering new sonic possibilities.

OVERVIEW

Thanks to its electronics based on the Polar™ Pickup System, the WAV4 provides a natural sound free from feedback. Since the sound comes entirely from the pickup, using a looper or other effects in a live performance is much easier than with a miked acoustic cello, as in that case, part of the unprocessed acoustic sound would also reach the audience. The three types of interchangeable stands allow for new performance possibilities: a fully adjustable tripod (included) can be used for playing while standing or sitting, while the Boomerang™ Strap System and Frame Strap System (optional) allow for maximum mobility.

WAV4 KEY FEATURES

Design
The WAV4's design offers freedom of movement on stage and allows comfortable access to the entire fingerboard. The special asymmetrical fingerboard, a distinctive feature of all NS strings, offers extraordinary comfort from the lowest to the highest positions. String height can be easily adjusted thanks to the adjustable height bridge and easily accessible truss rod.

Polar™ Pickup
The sound quality and dynamics of the WAV4 are due to the Polar™ Pickup System which, thanks to the piezoelectric saddles mounted under the bridge, captures the full frequency range generated by the strings and the instrument's body. The bow or pizzicato technique makes the string vibrate in different directions, and a convenient selector allows you to choose the pickup sensitivity suitable for your needs.
