Waldorf with the Quantum marks an important new chapter in its already rich history of tradition and design that have led the German brand in more than 30 years to the creation of innovative and top-level synthesizers. Building on its Wavetable technology already developed in the late 80s, Waldorf has perfectly combined its digital oscillators with the power and efficiency of its analog filters for a hybrid synth destined to quickly become a great classic.

Quantum best combines the two worlds of digital and analog synthesis with high-impact sounds only possible thanks to current software technology.

Its 3 oscillators each offer four synthesis algorithms:

Wavetable 'Waldorf-style' with the latest additions from Nave software, including vocal synthesis and wavetable generation from audio signal

Classic Synthesizer Waveforms with multiple waveforms for ultra 'fat' sounds

Granular Sampler with multi-sampling and traditional sampling mode

Resonator to sculpt sounds in detail

The management interface is extremely ergonomic and intuitive thanks to the beautiful design of the top panel designed by Axel Hartmann.

The rich range of aluminum encoders and knobs with excellent finish surrounds the large high-resolution multi-touch display. Waldorf engineers have dedicated many hours to perfecting the interaction between the display and the physical controls. The multi-touch display thus becomes a natural and extremely flexible extension of the tactile experience, for a human-machine interaction that is light years ahead of other products of this type currently on the market.

To help understand the functional relationships between one knob and another, each rotary control is individually lit by multi-colored LEDs. This makes it simple and immediate to associate each knob with its respective function, especially in the case of complex modulation settings, with the possibility of setting all parameters quickly.

Quantum has been designed and developed by a dedicated team over several years of work: all essential components have been designed, manufactured and assembled in Germany with an extremely high level of quality. The Factory Sound Set saw the participation of some of the world's most important sound designers (including Deadmau5 and Richard Devine).
