Description

The VPJ-280 Sunburst is the 4-string electric bass from Eko Guitars' "Tribute Starter" series. With a design inspired by the legendary Precision Bass, but with a sound that bridges the gap between precision and jazz, it features a Poplar body, Maple neck, and a 21-fret Eko WPC resin fingerboard. It mounts a JB pickup at the bridge and a PB pickup at the neck with separate Volume and 1 Tone controls. The pickup configuration allows the bassist to achieve jazz bass-like sounds, or precision bass-like sounds, or blend them together.

The Starter series was created to offer all guitarists and bassists, especially beginners, the opportunity to own an instrument with characteristics similar to guitar and bass models that have made music history. Thanks to their fantastic quality/price ratio, these entry-level instruments easily satisfy the desire to play an instrument with a classic design. 4-string bass with a maple neck, bolt-on neck joint, and a Poplar body. The truss rod is dual-action, within the Eko WPC (Wood Polymers Composite) resin fingerboard. The pickups are JB at the bridge (jazz bass style) and PJ at the neck (precision style), with the option to select only one or blend them together.
