The physical modeling amplifiers in the VOX MINI series are lightweight, compact, and battery-powered, offering realistic sound anytime, anywhere. The MINI5 Rhythm features 11 amplifier sounds inherited from the popular and very famous Valvetronix series, plus eight effects and a new Rhythm function. You can choose from 99 different rhythmic pattern variations to play or practice for extended periods. The compact body also packs many additional features, such as a microphone input, an AUX input, and a dedicated E-String tuner, allowing you to play the guitar with the high quality you expect from VOX.

A rich variety of amp models and effects

There are 11 realistic amplifier models taken from the flagship Valvetronix series that support a wide range of playing styles and techniques, including perfect simulations of the legendary VOX AC30 that capture the feel of a typical tube unit, as well as models of powerful and intense High-gain amplifiers and transparent Clean tones. New to the series, an original VOX "Bassilator" circuit has been incorporated, which covers ultra-low harmonic frequencies that cannot be achieved with EQ. This is particularly effective for High-gain models and produces an intense sound unthinkable for an amplifier of this size. In addition, there is an undistorted LINE IN input, ideal for electro-acoustic guitars or keyboards. There is also a full set of effects, including compressor, chorus, flanger, and tremolo, as well as delay/reverb. With a total of eight effect varieties, you will have plenty of options to shape your sound.

Versatile Rhythm functions

As the name suggests, the MINI5 Rhythm features a newly added rhythm function. There are 11 built-in rhythms in different styles that include 8 beat, 16 beat, rock, metal, and R&B, as well as a built-in metronome. With nine variations for each style, you'll have a total of 99 rhythmic patterns to work with. You can easily recall the desired rhythmic pattern and adjust tempo and volume to play perfectly along with these high-quality rhythmic patterns, find ideas for a new riff or phrase, practice playing with a certain rhythm to improve your performance. Since these rhythmic patterns cover a wide range of musical styles, it's easier to get in tune with the track playing, making practice more enjoyable.

Battery operation

The MINI5 Rhythm can run on batteries (six AA batteries) or with the AC adapter (included). The batteries allow up to approximately 19.5 hours of operation (with POWER SELECT set to 0.1W), making this amplifier the ideal choice for street performances or outdoor gigs. It also comes with a shoulder strap for easy transport, allowing you to enjoy playing guitar wherever inspiration takes you.

Many inputs/outputs, ideal for the singer/performer

In addition to a guitar input, the MINI5 Rhythm provides other types of output and input jacks. The Mic input provides adjustable volume and allows you to apply a delay/reverb effect for vocals. There is also an AUX input to which you can connect an external audio source such as an MP3 player which can be used in combination with a guitar and a microphone, for a total of three inputs simultaneously. Furthermore, a Headphone/Line Out with a built-in speaker simulator is provided, so that - even when recording directly with a multitrack recorder or practicing with headphones - you get the same great cabinet resonance you would only get with a microphone in front of the amplifier.

Selectable power amplifier wattage

By selecting the power, you can adjust the volume without compromising the tonal characteristics of distortions or the spaciousness and breath of the tone. Power can be selected at three levels: 5 / 1.5 / 0.1W.
