Equipped with 12AX7 tubes for both the preamp and power amp, these amplifiers feature 8 distinctive analog circuits to create 8 different tube sound types, ranging from transparent Clean to modern High Gain tones.

Particular attention has been paid to the analog design, as an impressive number of components are present. The variety of classic tones from these amplifiers is further enhanced by a customizable power amp section and a speaker designed to increase resonance. To complete the package, there are 3 high-quality effects, including chorus, delay, and reverb.

Analog preamp circuits for 8 different sounds

The preamp determines the character of the sound, which is why a completely analog design, built with an impressive number of carefully selected components, was chosen. The amplifier features 8 different analog circuits; in other words, the AV series is capable of reproducing the sound of 8 classic tube amplifiers. Furthermore, in addition to the coveted AC30 Top Boost sound, this series of amplifiers can cover a wide range of tones, from clean to high-gain, including the rare AC15 with EF86 tubes.

The 12AX7 tube is used for both the preamp and the power amp

To have a tube sound, you must have a tube. The AV series is equipped with a circuit designed to house the classic 12AX7 tube. The AV15 model has only one 12AX7 tube, which is used by both the preamp and the power amp so that both sections can operate in a tube manner. The AV30 and AV60 models use 2 12AX7 tubes, one for the preamp and one for the power amp, to achieve a sound with greater dynamics. The internal voltage is 60V; this high voltage allows the full potential of the tubes to be used to obtain natural and powerful distortion, reminiscent of the most famous tube amplifiers.

Four modes can modify the behavior of the preamp and power amp circuits

4 switches allow you to manually modify the response of the tubes. For the preamp tube, there are 2 switches: BRIGHT which boosts high frequencies, FAT which boosts low frequencies. For the power amp tubes, it is possible to change the operating point, using the BIAS switch to select a modern or vintage sound, and the REACTOR switch through which the damping factor is changed to obtain greater dynamics and a wider frequency response. These changes can be made instantly so you can best understand the variations made.

High-quality effects

We paid a lot of attention not only to the sound of the amplifier but also to the effects section. The AV series is equipped with 3 high-quality effects: modulation, delay, and reverb. Each effect can be selected independently so you have the freedom to choose what you desire.

A revolutionary cabinet structure that enhances sound quality

The cabinet structure of the AV series has a greater influence on sound quality. The baffle and cabinet are built in a single piece, so as to best support speaker vibrations and minimize unwanted vibrations. The front-mounted speaker provides a clearer and more powerful sound. In addition, the Bass Reflex system maintains balanced and natural low frequencies.

New life for traditional tube design

The AV series offers functionality and expandability with a high degree of precision. The headphone output uses the same cabinet simulator used in the amPlug series with additional refinements to achieve greater sonic detail. The AUX IN allows you to connect external sound sources and is equipped with a circuit to compensate for the speaker and cabinet response. The AV30 and AV60 models feature both Send and Return for connecting effect units, and an External Speaker Output. Thanks to these features, you can use these amplifiers in many situations.

Use the optional footswitch to control functions with your feet

You can use the optional footswitch to change channels (only on AV30 and AV60 models) or to turn off effects. A very useful feature especially on stage.
