When first using Ultra-Pure Professional Valve Oil, we recommend removing the valves and bottom valve caps and spraying a lot of oil on the valves and down through the valve casing to flush out old oils. Or you can give the horn a good bath and let it dry. Use plenty of oil for the first few times in order to flush out all old oils and debris.

For normal re-oiling, carefully remove the piston from the casing and apply three to five drops per valve. Even if the valves feel good, it's good to do this at least once a week to protect the metal and rinse out small particles that could slow down valve action.
