In ancient times, Polynesian sorcerers known as <strong>Tahu'a</strong> claimed that their people were generated by Tiki, otherwise known as the creator of humanity, the keeper of mana, the energy that binds living beings to the universe. The representation of Tiki, typically a wooden statuette with arms along the body, short legs, and a powerful face to ward off evil spirits, was believed to bring protection and benevolence to its owner. The <strong>Tiki Uku</strong> emblem adorning the models in this series was chosen by <strong>Lag</strong> luthiers.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">The <strong>laminated top</strong>, <strong>back</strong>, <strong>sides</strong>, and <strong>neck</strong> of the <strong>TKU8S</strong> are made of <strong>Sapelli Mahogany</strong>, a wood with a higher density than mahogany, which provides a slightly brighter sound. The <strong>bridge</strong> and <strong>fretboard</strong> are made of <strong>walnut</strong>.
