The latest digital motor control technology, developed from Blu-ray disc products, allows torque and brake speed to be separately adjusted in four steps for precise control.

Precisely adjust rotational speed within ±8% / ±16% with the digital pitch control function. This function uses digital control from slider position detection to motor rotation, eliminating unnecessary DA conversion. This ensures accurate and stable pitch adjustments to improve tracking performance.

Explore new creative possibilities with the reverse playback function, making its debut in the SL-1200 series. You can switch between 33-1/3 rpm, 45 rpm, and even 78 rpm speeds.

The direct drive system uses a slow-rotating motor to directly drive the platter, offering high performance, precision, and powerful torque without the need to replace components. While traditional direct drive systems had problems with rotational irregularity (cogging), the SL-1200MK7 features a new coreless direct drive motor that eliminates this problem. The motor's improved magnetic force and optimized distance between stator and rotor ensure smooth rotation and high torque, in line with the SL-1200MK5 model. This results in accurate and faithful audio reproduction of records.
