The 714ce LTD features a unique combination of Indian rosewood back and sides with a redwood top. Indian rosewood is a tonewood with a vibrant sonic personality ranging from warm and responsive in the bass range to rich and sparkling in the trebles, with a scooped midrange that makes it an ideal wood choice for guitarists who sing while playing. Redwood, however, might be even more enticing: sourced from sinker logs found in California riverbeds, this tonewood takes on a stunning streaked red hue and a tonal profile with serious attitude, often described as cedar on steroids. Here you'll find much of cedar's warmth and soft-touch response, plus the added power and headroom that redwood brings. This model also features V-Class bracing for improved volume and sustain, which also helps bring out more of rosewood's natural harmonic complexity.
