Built to honor the innovative spirit that guided Bob Taylor's guitar designs from the earliest days, the Legacy 714ce celebrates the Grand Auditorium body shape that Bob introduced to the world in 1994. This model boasts a tonewood pairing not currently found in the standard Taylor line: Indian rosewood back and sides with a Western red cedar top, voiced with the same X-bracing pattern used in early Grand Auditorium guitars.

The result is an exceptionally warm and soft response with remarkable touch sensitivity that doesn't lose clarity in the treble range. Visually, this model reflects the understated aesthetic that Bob preferred for his guitars three decades ago, with details including black binding with white and black striping, green abalone dot fretboard inlays with a matching three-ring rosette, ebony bridge pins with green abalone dots, a faux tortoiseshell pickguard, gold tuners, and a gloss-finish body paired with a satin-finish neck. The Legacy 714ce model features LR Baggs Element VTC electronics and comes with a deluxe hardshell case.
