If there's no room for a boom arm, simply convert the stand into a straight stand.

The boom arm neatly stows inside the upper tube. The bottom cymbal protects the center hole of the cymbals from the rod and arm threads.

If part of the nylon sleeve wears out, you can continue to use the bottom of the cymbal by flipping it over. Simply by gripping and pressing the two buttons on both sides, users can attach and remove the Cymbal Mate with a single touch, making cymbal setup/teardown a breeze.

With the standard Tama Cymbal Mate, fine adjustments to the cymbal's swinging motion can be made by rotating the unit.
