<h1 style="text-align: justify;">The <strong>T40/20 Head</strong> is <strong>Hiwatt</strong>'s <strong>40 W tube head</strong>, featuring two channels, an <strong>effects loop</strong>, and <strong>spring reverb</strong>. Powered by four <strong>EL84</strong> tubes, two <strong>ECC83</strong> tubes, and one <strong>ECC82</strong> tube, this head allows you to reduce the power to <strong>20 W</strong> for more saturation and compression.</h1><h2>OVERVIEW OF THE HIWATT T40/20 HEAD</h2><p style="text-align: justify;">The <strong>T40/20</strong> is the flagship tube head of Hiwatt's <strong>T series</strong>, featuring two channels and <strong>40 W</strong> of power. Keeping the power at 40 W provides maximum headroom and clarity, while reducing it to <strong>20 W</strong> achieves saturation at lower levels, with greater compression. This amplifier is an excellent platform for pedals, thanks to the integrated <strong>effects loop</strong>. It also includes a spring reverb, switchable via footswitch. The preamp section is powered by one <strong>ECC82</strong> tube, while the power amp section includes four <strong>EL84</strong> tubes and two <strong>ECC83</strong> tubes. The front panel features controls for <strong>Master Vol</strong>, <strong>Reverb</strong>, <strong>Treble</strong>, <strong>Middle</strong> with push/pull for <strong>tone shift</strong>, <strong>Bass</strong>, and separate gain controls for the two channels, <strong>Overdrive Gain</strong> and <strong>Normal Gain</strong>. Also included are a channel switch, an input jack, and a 3.5 mm <strong>AUX IN</strong> to send a signal directly to the amplifier.
