Description

The T218DCE is the Dreadnought Cutaway acoustic guitar from the Tramontane 218 series by Lag, featuring a solid Engelmann Spruce top paired with Indian Rosewood back and sides. These two woods create a versatile and expressive sound, suited to the high volume of the Dreadnought format. It features a Stage-Lag system, with a three-band EQ, tuner, phase inversion button, and notch filter to control feedback.

OVERVIEW OF THE LAG TRAMONTANE 218 T218DCE

The Tramontane 218 T218DCE is an electro-acoustic guitar built with a classic and popular wood combination: Spruce and Rosewood. The solid Engelmann Spruce soundboard provides a rich and articulate response, offering clarity, harmonic complexity, and dynamic sensitivity, even at low volumes. Aesthetically, its light grain contrasts with the darker woods, creating a pleasant match. The Indian Rosewood used for the back and sides adds warmth, depth, and projection, reinforcing the lows and enhancing sustain and overall tonal richness. Together, these two woods create a versatile and expressive sound, suited to the powerful volume of the Dreadnought format. This shape offers a full and assertive acoustic sound, with great projection and solid lows. Designed for strumming and accompaniment, it ensures volume while maintaining a clear and defined sound. The Stage-Lag preamplifier features a three-band EQ with an additional Mid. Freq. control that allows you to select the frequencies on which the Middle control acts. It also includes a volume control, a tuner, a button to invert the phase, and a Notch knob that allows you to manage feedback.

True to the Tramontane identity, the T218DCE features the iconic headstock with its typical profile, mirrored in inverse form by the bridge. The oval rosette immediately makes it clear which Lag series the model belongs to. The slim neck with a satin finish makes it comfortable and smooth to play. Bridge and fingerboard are made of BrankoWood, a wood derived from a sustainable production process, treated to be ready for use and resistant to changes in humidity and temperature: the result is a stable guitar that is minimally affected by environmental changes. The 650 mm scale and 350 mm radius make it comfortable to play, with an easily adjustable setup thanks to the double-action truss rod. It is completed by 20 frets in Silver Nickel, a 43 mm Graphite nut, and Satin Black tuners. Natural Wood color with a Glossy finish.
