Designed for critical listening in the recording studio, the Shure SRH840A headphone features a slimmer and lighter design, with a completely redesigned, foldable structure compared to the previous model, which perfectly adapts to the head. Black, with gold finishes and stitching, it is aesthetically pleasing in video shoots and photos, making it suitable for broadcasting studios, live streaming, and podcasting.

Thanks to a reinforced, well-padded metal headband with a breathable woven fabric in contact with the head, the professional Shure SRH840A headphone ensures excellent physical balance and a perfect fit, without weighing down during long work sessions. The closed-back circumaural design features padded earcups (replaceable if needed) with excellent passive isolation, which rotate to adapt to any listening needs, such as single-channel monitoring.

On the acoustic front, sound reproduction is entrusted to 40mm neodymium magnet drivers hand-selected for optimal coupling, delivering precise, consistent, and neutral sound to meet the needs of professional musicians and sound engineers in studio monitoring. All these construction precautions translate into contained harmonic distortion (Low THD), almost imperceptible artifacts, and the absence of sound coloration across the wide spectrum that the Shure SRH840A headphones can cover. These are essential requirements for producer headphones, allowing us to more adequately evaluate the dynamics of our tracks, the result of compression, the intervention of limiters, and the balance and positioning of various instruments in the sound field.

Detailed sound with natural high frequencies allows for excellent focus on any clicks, noises, or other imperfections and supports us in editing, sound design, and additional production phases. The sound signature of the Shure SRH840A headphones respects the original material, is well-balanced across the entire spectrum (from 5Hz to 25kHz) for excellent mix translation, particularly noteworthy in the low frequencies compared to other headphones in the same price range, and useful as a reference in vocal processing.

Included with the Shure SRH840A is a 3-meter "straight" cable, removable thanks to the bayonet connector that ensures a secure and optimal lock on the left earcup where the dedicated socket resides. We can move freely in the studio while listening to our mixes, switch from the control desk to our synths while producing, and play moving as we usually do on stage. The cable terminates with a 1/8” mini-jack connector and comes with the appropriate 1/4” (6.3 mm) gold-plated jack adapter. And if you can't do without your Shure SRH840A headphones, with the accessory cable RMCH1-UNI (not included) equipped with a TRRS connector, microphone, and control buttons, you can also use them with your smartphone, tablet, or computer for phone calls or video calls.
