Powering this Squier® groove machine are a pair of Fender Designed™ alnico Noiseless™ J Bass® pickups for a powerful, hum-free signal. The 9-volt preamp offers controls for volume, pickup blending, treble and bass boost, and a switch to go from active to passive mode for complete sound control.
