WGYY18I Meinl Sonic Energy Wind Gongs are traditionally handcrafted in China using a special bronze alloy. These gongs are also known as Feng or Sun Gongs and have an almost flat shape. This flat shape is known to allow the gong's voice to open up completely with a wide tonal spectrum and long sustain. The lower tones are dominant when the gongs are played softly, but with more powerful playing, the gong opens up well and produces vibrating overtones.
