OSTD1BKE - A4/a' 440 Hz / D3/ A3, Bb3, C4, D4, E4, F4, G4, A4The Meinl Energy Octave Steel Tongue Drum is made of high-quality stainless steel. It has a main note in the center, plus eight notes around the circumference. These eight notes each have two tongues, with a different octave. This creates an extraordinary meditative sound similar to that of a handpan. On the bottom there is a sound hole, which can be closed with a silicone plug, to control the sound. Three silicone feet prevent the instrument from slipping. You can play the Steel Tongue Drum with mallets or with your hands, just place it on a flat surface or on your lap. The Meinl Energy Octave Steel Tongue Drum includes two wooden mallets with rubber heads and a carrying case with handle and zipper closure.
