HK Audio Sonar 115 is an active loudspeaker with a 15” driver with integrated DSP and mixer. Its frequency response ranges from 50Hz to 20kHz with an SPL peak of 133dB. It offers three input channels: two for microphone or line signals plus an AUX channel, receiving analog signals and via Bluetooth 5.0. Music can be streamed in stereo to two SONAR Xi speakers via Bluetooth TWS (True Wireless Stereo). It includes volume control and 3-band equalization for each channel, which can be intuitively adjusted using the knob and the color display. Thanks to the free SONAR REMOTE app (for iOS and Android), all functions can also be controlled remotely for added convenience.

The integrated display

The integrated digital mixer in the Xi models offers two independent channels for microphone or line signals, as well as an AUX channel for analog signals and Bluetooth 5.0. It can even receive both signals simultaneously! The Mix Out is used to send signals to additional speakers or can be used as a source for live recording. Each of the three channels has its own dedicated volume controller and a 3-band equalizer. Additionally, three preset modes are available (Live, DJ, Monitor) and a preset for use in conjunction with the SONAR subwoofer.

The TWS Bluetooth present in Sonar 115 Xi

With Bluetooth TWS, stereo audio streaming via two SONAR Xi models is a breeze. Two SONAR Xi speakers can be connected to each other and, in addition to sound transmission, can also be controlled remotely simultaneously via the Remote app.

What does TWS mean? TWS stands for True Wireless Stereo, and it means that these are speakers that can play separate content independently of each other, but also from the source from which the sounds originate, be it a mobile phone, a tablet, a PC, and much more, even a simple smart TV. This system is perfect for creating a wireless stereo sound source!

The Sonar Remote application

The SONAR REMOTE app for iOS and Android tablets and smartphones is the most simple and fast way to control the integrated digital mixer. It allows you to control all settings and functions of the SONAR Xi models, including the 3-band equalizer parameters for each channel. You can also save scenes and presets to make them available on demand by controlling parameters such as frequently used microphone adjustments, modified SONAR Xi settings, or basic configurations for different locations.

All settings changed in the app are displayed simultaneously on the SONAR Xi speaker display and vice versa! Both displays synchronize in real-time.
