The SSL 4000 B Dynamics (B-DYN) in 500 Series format recreates the legendary dynamics processor found in the channel strip of the historic SSL SL 4000 B console. Introduced in 1976, the 4000 B was the first console produced by Solid State Logic, used in prestigious studios such as The Stone Room at Virgin’s Townhouse Studios (London), Le Studio (Montreal), and Record Plant (Los Angeles). Iconic albums were made on this console: think of Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" or Peter Gabriel's "Intruder," both featuring the characteristic incisive compression on drums and vocals.
