11202-13 Hot for Telecaster pickups deliver a bigger, fatter single coil tone with increased low-end punch. Tame the twang and give your Tele an increased mid-range cut and punch with the Hot for Tele pickups. If you were to start with a vintage Tele neck pickup, wind it hotter, tame the highs, and enhance the mid-range response, the result would be the hot rhythm. The treble response is still articulate, but it is mellowed by the more aggressive low-end. Great for full sounding chords and sweet lead work. The Hot Tele Lead pickup uses flat ground alnico 5 rod magnets and a special high-output coil wind to give you enough midrange power to cut through like a humbucker. The absence of a steel bottom plate gives you a full, fat punch in both the low and midrange frequencies, but retains the muscular grind of a vintage style lead pickup. Great for Telecaster players who demand a more powerful lead tone, with extra presence and drive. These are hand built in Santa Barbara and use alnico 5 rod ground magnets, along with the traditional Telecaster chromed drawn down bottom dusters dipped in paint and lacquer. Wax potted for squeal free performance.
