The JB Rails offers modern players a unique combination, uniting the Seymour Duncan JB model (one of our most iconic pickups) with the rail design. This configuration maintains the classic character of our JB model with its strong lows, crisp highs, and upper-midrange bump, which have made it the go-to lead pickup for countless luminaries. The rail design evenly distributes the magnetic field across the strings, providing better string-to-string balance with more clarity and sustain. The result is perfect for modern high-gain applications and looks as good as it sounds.
Using a 500k volume pot will give you pronounced highs, while choosing a 250k pot will soften and sweeten the tone, ideal for a smoother response. The JB Rails is designed to pair perfectly with our Jazz Rails neck pickup.
Hand-built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the JB Rails uses an Alnico 8 bar magnet, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options like series, parallel, and split coil, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. Available in 6 and 7-string versions.
