11208-04 Our Vintage Broadcaster pickups deliver that classic 50's Telecaster tone with extra punch and growl. A faithful homage to the originals, our Vintage Broadcaster pickups are the perfect choice for demanding players who require more from their Tele. The slightly larger alnico 5 magnet and higher output provide "sharp highs" and "roaring mids" to achieve strong riffs and "biting" leads from any Telecaster. The STR-1 Vintage Tele rhythm pickup is designed for a smooth, open tone with warm lower mids and airy highs. With its hand-ground alnico 5 pole magnets, this neck pickup will deliver great full-sounding chords. Hot enough for most rhythms, but percussive enough for chicken pickin' too. Since 1978, we have been building all our vintage Fender single coil pickups with the correct color and thickness of Forbon flatwork, along with the period-correct staggered magnet. Each pickup comes complete with waxed and tinned cloth pushback hookup wires and a traditional keyed bottom plate. We hand-file the flatwork, assemble, and lacquer the coil just as it was done during Fender's golden age. Each pickup is potted in our wax formulation for squeal-free performance.
