Seymour Duncan Set Invader black

Description

11108-31-B Ultra-high output with enormous sound, Invader looks and sounds like no other pickup. The Invader is loud, vicious, and unapologetic. Somehow surprisingly, the Invader neck model matches intimidating looks with a warm, understated tone—the perfect partner for the high-output Invader bridge humbucker. Installing an Invader changes your guitar's DNA. No matter how dangerous your current pickup sounds, the Invader will transform your guitar into the heavy-sounding, mean beast you always knew it could be. The Invader's power comes from the combination of specially overwound coils, three large ceramic magnets, and its extraordinary oversized metal oxide pole pieces. These extraordinary pole pieces expand the overall magnetic field and broaden the frequency spectrum, which is why every note played through an Invader sounds so rich and massive. The ceramic magnets add depth and clarity, while the large hex caps provide even balance between the strings. The Invader delivers the thickest, deepest low-end response of any passive pickup we make. Chords sound almost subsonic with lower tunings, but balance well with crisp highs, keeping everything well-defined. While the Invader bridge looks mean and vicious, because it is mean and vicious, the Invader neck humbucker is surprisingly warm and smooth, despite its intimidating appearance, and produces a strong crunch and sustained wail. Hand-built in our Santa Barbara, California factory, the Invader features three large ceramic bar magnets, oversized metal oxide pole pieces, a nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.
