11402-56 High-power pickup with quarter-inch diameter Alnico rod magnets to deliver all the attitude and punch you could want from a Jazz Bass. Quarter Pound Jazz Bass pickups have it all: hot output, great attack, and massive attitude. The 1/4" diameter poles and hot coil winding provide a full, even response with great sustain and sonic complexity for a powerful tone suitable for any genre. You get the increased power of an overwound coil, with the articulation and detailed high end of a vintage pickup. The neck position model is RWRP (reverse wind/reverse polarity) wound for hum cancellation when used with the bridge pickup. These pickups are drop-in replacements for any American Jazz Bass (standard Mexican Jazz basses use two neck-sized pickups). Hand-built in Santa Barbara, California, the Quarter Pound for Jazz Bass pickup uses Alnico 5 rod magnets and Forbon flatwork and is wax potted for squeal-free operation. Each comes with a black cover and is available in 4- and 5-string configurations.
