The Duncan Distortion bridge is our original high-output humbucker. It incorporates a massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings to deliver well-balanced rock and metal tones with a rich upper midrange harmonic content. Great for tight, crunchy rhythms and searing lead tone. Riffs are tight and percussive and lead work is fast and immediate with ultra clear pick dynamics. Originally known as the SH-7 Seymourizer, the Duncan Distortion neck pickup is specifically designed for use with the corresponding high-output bridge version. It’s hot enough to deliver smooth, fluid lead tones with high gain, while still producing bell-like clean tones. Hand-built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the Duncan Distortion uses a large ceramic bar magnet, a nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.
