Description

The sE X1A is a high-quality condenser microphone with multiple applications: vocals, drums, and acoustic instruments are just a few examples where it excels. Thanks to a custom design and the accuracy with which the capsules are selected, the X1A provides absolute sound quality and a very well-balanced and natural frequency response. The electronics and the attenuation pad ensure a high dynamic range and optimal transient response, even with high SPL sources, while maintaining very low self-noise. The high-pass filter effectively eliminates low-frequency disturbances and also compensates for any proximity effect. This makes the X1A perfect for close-miking with many instruments, such as electric guitar amps, wind instruments, and percussion. The shape and build quality ensure excellent performance even in live use, challenging environments where structural robustness and resistance to external stresses are essential! The X1A is equipped with a switch for signal attenuation and one for the high-pass filter. The attenuation switch is located on the front left side of the microphone body. Once activated, the input signal is attenuated by 20 dB, allowing it to handle very strong or very close sources without distortion. It also prevents saturation of the input stage of preamplifiers on audio interfaces or mixers. The High-Pass Filter (Low-Cut Switch) switch is located on the front right side of the microphone; noises such as wind, plosive consonants, footsteps, or bumps on the stand, can irremediably damage a recording, and the high-pass filter reduces these unwanted noises and is also very useful for attenuating the proximity effect, typical when a cardioid microphone is brought very close to the source to be recorded.
