The new sE Electronics SPACE is an advanced and completely redesigned version of the award-winning Reflexion Filter which, thanks to its patented Multi-Layer Air-Gap technology, has revolutionized music production techniques both at home and in the recording studio. Larger and with a greater number of layers and sound-absorbing materials, SPACE (Specialised Portable Acoustic Control Environment) has a larger surface area designed to ensure optimal isolation in any environment for professional-level vocal or instrument recordings. SPACE now integrates 10 layers of sE Multi-Layer Air-Gap technology, with the inclusion of seven new vertical low-frequency baffles that further improve sound frequency diffusion. The new sE Electronics SPACE also features new mounting hardware, with a solid, fully adjustable and lockable clamp vertically and horizontally, with the ability to tilt the instrument for recording at any angle. The Reflexion Filter is a mobile device patented by sE Electronics that allows you to record sound sources by minimizing the reverberation of the recording environment and keeping the microphone's frequency response virtually unchanged: it is like a complex artificial "wall" that can be placed behind any microphone using an adaptable clamp included in the package, and which also allows the RF to be attached to the microphone stand. The main function is precisely to obtain a "dry" recording of a voice or an instrument, especially in environments that do not have adequate acoustic treatment, or when there are other sound sources behind the microphone, for example other musicians in the rehearsal room. The Reflexion Filter SPACE is composed of 10 main layers: the first layer consists of a reinforced aluminum grid that allows sound to pass through a layer of absorbent wool. The sound waves then pass through an aluminum sheet that helps dissipate energy by disrupting the waveforms of low frequencies, and then pass into an air gap maintained by the rods that cross the various layers. The air gap acts as a real acoustic barrier. The sound wave passes to a subsequent layer of absorbent wool and then through another aluminum grid that absorbs and diffuses the remaining acoustic energy. The main surface is composed of 4 molded parts made of a special high sound-absorbing material and mounted by means of separation rods that ensure further absorption and diffuse acoustic waves before they pass to the main filter. The various layers of the Reflexion Filter absorb and at the same time diffuse the sound pressure waves that strike them; the sound of the source progressively loses energy with each layer it passes through. In this way, the energy that hits the walls of the room returning as unwanted reverberation into the microphone is significantly reduced. The Reflexion Filter's design also prevents room reflections from behind and from the sides of the microphone from re-entering. Thanks to the combination of various layers of aluminum and patented absorbent materials separated by insulating air gaps, the Reflexion Filter is the only product of its kind that, while maintaining a compact and manageable design, minimizes room reflections without coloring the sound.
