OVERVIEW OF THE PRS SE CUSTOM 24 SEMI-HOLLOW PIEZO LAKE BLUE

The PRS SE Custom 24 Semi-Hollow Piezo is a sophisticated and versatile instrument. The original Custom 24 was first introduced in 1985: it was a solidbody guitar with a Maple top, Mahogany back, double humbucker, and a PRS patented tremolo bridge. This version of the SE series with Semi-Hollow construction incorporates the characteristics of PRS's much-loved model, increasing its natural resonance and offering a vibrant and organic sound. The humbuckers are the 85/15 "S" which, with the push/pull tone, allow for even more tonal possibilities. The LR Baggs/PRS system enhances the versatility of this guitar, allowing for acoustic sounds in addition to traditional electric ones. The two volume controls (piezo and magnetic pickups) and the two output jacks (mix/piezo and magnetic) allow for managing the two signals according to needs. By connecting the guitar to the "Mix/Piezo" output, the two volumes allow for blending the piezo signal with that of the pickups. Alternatively, it is possible to connect the two jacks separately and send the piezo signal to an acoustic amplifier or a DI and directly to the sound system. When using the dedicated magnetic pickup jack, the piezo battery is completely bypassed, preserving its life (in this case, the magnetic pickups are operational even if the piezo battery is completely dead).

Regarding construction, this guitar features a Maple top with Flamed Maple veneer and a Mahogany back. The Maple neck features a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard and a 25" (635 mm) scale length. Additional details include a headstock veneer matched to the top, binding on the headstock and fingerboard, and lampshade knobs. With a high variety of sounds and PRS's typical reliability, the SE Custom 24 Semi-Hollow Piezo is a modern classic. Lake Blue finish.
