Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic is an 8-channel analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog ADAT preamplifier and converter, featuring 2nd generation Focusrite Scarlett preamplifiers and a soft-knee VCA analog compressor with a configurable 2:1 or 4:1 ratio (More button) on each input channel. The compressor can be individually managed on each channel with a dedicated potentiometer that, when turned to the right, gradually lowers the threshold while increasing post-compression gain. The attack time is fixed at 1.2 ms, while the release time is 28 ms. In addition to the 8 input channels, the Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic includes 8 direct line outputs that can be used, for example, for direct connection to a stage mixer for live or rehearsal use, or as a standalone analog microphone preamplifier. Furthermore, these outputs can be used for converting the digital signal coming from the ADAT inputs on the rear panel.
