Incise and versatile, the RND 535 'diode bridge' compressor is based on the original Rupert Neve 2254 compressor, while offering new features such as advanced timing control, very low background noise, stepped controls, and the option of internal parallel processing (side-chain detection). Originally developed for the acclaimed Shelford Channel circuit, the 535 features the classic Rupert Neve transformer and Class-A amplifier design, all engineered and built for the popular 500 series format.Striving to overcome the limitations of the original 2254, Rupert Neve Designs made every possible effort to achieve the most faithful reproduction, improving its characteristics and combining the classic sound of the original with modern flexibility.
