The Roland TR-1000 Rhythm Creator represents the evolution of the iconic TR-808 and TR-909 drum machines, bringing tradition into the future with a powerful hybrid engine that combines analog instruments, advanced digital processors, and stereo sampling. Designed in collaboration with electronic music artists worldwide, it offers an intuitive workflow with dedicated controls, smooth faders, and step keys, an extremely flexible sequencer, and a wide range of tools for sound design and live performance. After over 40 years, Roland presents its first true analog drum machine with TR-808 and TR-909 sounds enriched by extensive editing possibilities for pitch, decay, and dynamics. Alongside the analog engines, the TR-1000 introduces advanced digital algorithms with ACB technology for even more detailed realism, FM synthesis, PCM, and 19 new “circuit-bent” voices for unique sonic explorations. Creative possibilities are expanded by the stereo sampling and resampling system, with over 2500 internal sounds, 64 GB of memory (46 GB dedicated to user samples), real-time time-stretching, and slicing up to 16 sections for perfectly synchronized loops or custom one-shots. The next-generation sequencer allows up to 256 steps per pattern, with advanced options such as probability, cycle conditions, motion recording, and step loop for dynamic variations and complex arrangements. The Song mode allows chaining up to 128 patterns, creating extended sequences ideal for production and live sets. In terms of performance, the TR-1000 offers state-of-the-art analog and digital effects: from the analog State Variable filter inspired by the Jupiter-6, to the dedicated drive, up to digital effects such as Scatter, Flanger, Phaser, Isolator, Crusher, and DJFX Looper. The Morph Fader allows controlling multiple parameters simultaneously, while the Snapshot function allows instant recall of complex settings. Thanks to extensive connectivity (4 audio outputs, 2 inputs, headphone output, MIDI In/Out/Thru, USB-C, and SD slot), integration with professional studios, modular setups, and DAWs is complete. It is also compatible with Overbridge (coming soon) for native USB audio integration.
