With its retro workflow, evocative sounds, and powerful effects, the JD-800 was a favorite among top electronic music producers throughout the 90s and beyond. Combining the JD-800's original waveforms with advanced modeling techniques, the JD-08 gives you the excellent immediate and direct sound design of the original, along with greatly expanded polyphony, a two-part polyphonic sequencer, and other modern updates.

In the early 90s, digital synths with many presets and a limited number of direct controls dominated the scene. The JD-800 changed the entire scenario in 1991, bringing the world of synthesizers back to its roots, with a panel full of controls and aggressive electronic timbres. The JD-08 includes the 64 presets of the original hardware and perfectly recreates the four-Tone structure, the 108 waveforms, and the exclusive two-part multi-effects that are the basis of the JD-800's complex and evolving sounds.

While maintaining the original design of the JD-800 in this modern version, the introduced updates take the experience to a whole new level. New patches, plus 256 memory locations, allow you to delve into the vast arsenal of controls to create new sounds for your music. And with expanded polyphony and two-part multi-timbral capabilities, there's even more room to express your sonic ideas.

After creating your patches, utilize the two-part polyphonic sequencer and start programming leads, bass lines, or basic chords synchronized with other components of your electronic ensemble. And to give animation and movement to your sounds, make the most of motion recording and the internal arpeggiator to make your musical lines dance.

The JD-08 features a built-in audio/MIDI interface via USB-C, so you can play, record, and synchronize with all types of computer production software. Standard MIDI input and output are also available for interfacing with other MIDI hardware. And there's also an external clock input to drive the JD-08's internal sequencer and arpeggiator from vintage analog instruments and modern Eurorack systems.

With its compact size, the JD-08 fits anywhere and is easily controllable from a master keyboard or a DAW. It can run on standard AA batteries for hours of freedom, and there's also an internal speaker for sound monitoring when you're on the go. Add a DK-01 Boutique Dock for a refined and elegant look, with its three convenient tilt positions, or choose a K-25m Keyboard to create a truly complete and portable instrument.
