When it comes to MIDI controllers, playability often seems to be a secondary factor. With A-88MK2, Roland brings the celebrated feel of its keyboards, chosen by professionals on stages around the world, to your studio. The robust wood construction creates a solid playing experience that you feel under your fingers. And you can easily adjust the sensitivity and response to suit your unique playing style.


A-88MKII has three assignable zones, allowing you to layer and split the keyboard with different sounds or instruments. The unique pitch/mod lever and the comprehensive group of knobs and pads with RGB lighting give you expressive and immediate control over the sound. And a sustain pedal input along with two freely assignable pedal inputs allow you to make the most of every feature.


Today's musical styles require special production techniques. And certain soft synths and modules don't always have the internal features you prefer. A-88MK2 expands your creative arsenal with three configurable zones, an advanced arpeggiator, chord memory function, and multi-function pads that can trigger commands and events, and energize live performances. A-88MK2 uses the latest technologies to offer you a long future of compatibility and practicality. USB-C offers bus power and single-cable connection with macOS, Windows, and iOS compatibility. A-88MKII is also ready to take advantage of the extended features of MIDI 2.0.


*To connect A-88MK2 to iOS devices via Lightning, Apple’s iPad Camera Connection Kit and A-88MKII, a power supply is required.


Customize A-88MK2  with the control app for macOS and Windows. Instantly view all your layers and control mappings, and assign commands to pads with custom colors for visual feedback. You can create custom configurations to control specific soft synths or external hardware, and recall everything instantly with the convenient Snap Shot function.


Space is always a crucial factor in today's personal studios. A-88MK2 is designed to be as thin and low as possible, while maintaining the precise and dynamic response that distinguishes Roland instruments. The surfaces are flat and the edges are square so that it can be perfectly positioned against other devices or integrated into a studio desk.
