The Rode VideoMic is a professional "half-shotgun" (shotgun) microphone designed for audio recording for video applications and specifically for use with digital camcorders, DSLRs, and portable recorders. The integrated anti-shock system (with Rycote® Lyre® technology) isolates the VideoMic's capsule and electronics from its metal casing, shielding it from external agents that can cause unwanted vibrations and noise. The Lyre® suspension system, made of thermoplastic, guarantees high-quality acoustic suspension, superior to traditional solutions based on elastic suspensions.
